PRC launched online application system (OAS)

The Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) will launch its online application system (OAS) on April 25, 2012 to enable applicants for the various PRC licensure examinations to file their applications online.
The launching will be highlighted by a press conference to be led by PRC Chairperson Teresita R. Manzala at the PRC Central Office in Sampaloc, Manila. Manzala will deliver a message, and PRC Commissioner Jennifer Jardin-Manalili will provide an overview of the OAS during the program, which will start at 10: 00 a.m. College and university officials have been invited to witness the launch.
The PRC, an attached agency of the Department of Labor and Employment, aims to provide faster and accessible services to its clients through its e-services programs, one component of which is the OAS.
Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz said the OAS is a major PRC program that is in pursuit of the commitment to serve its clients faster and better.
The OAS’s pilot testing in the PRC Central Office is the sixth in a series of activities that involved the installation of the online system in the PRC’s ten regional offices.
“We are making the PRC accessible to the registrar’s office of academic institutions with readiness and capability in maximizing the available facilities for information technology in their organization and to our clientele,” Chairman Manzala said.
Pilot testing of the OAS has already been done at the PRC offices in Baguio, Cebu, and Davao. It will also be conducted in Cagayan de Oro, Legazpi, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao this May.
To identify the strengths as well as the weaknesses as basis for the OAS’s enhancement, the PRC has invited registrar offices from colleges and universities to access the PRC website and send applications of its graduates. The PRC shall also make a formal assessment of the OAS through interviews and evaluation forms.
The progress of the OAS may be followed at the PRC website www.prc.gov.ph.
