OFW accused of double murder in Hongkong not guilty

The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong reported that a Filipino national who was accused of double murder was handed down a unanimous not guilty verdict on June 08 by the seven-man jury of the High Court of Hong Kong.
The Filipino national was accused of killing his employers in 2003 and was extradited to Hong Kong in June 2010 to face trial for two counts of murder.
The accused was provided by a lawyer hired by the Consulate. He was also provided consular assistance during his detention and trial in Hong Kong.
After the verdict was delivered, the Filipino expressed his appreciation to his lawyer and to the Consulate for all the assistance extended to him in Hong Kong. He also mentioned that he will continue his plan to be a pastor in Pampanga.
The Filipino was repatriated to Manila on June 8.
