PROCLAMATION NO. 361
DECLARING MONDAY, 24 DECEMBER 2012, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY
WHEREAS, Monday, 24 December 2012 falls between Sunday, 23 December 2012 and Tuesday, 25 December 2012 (Christmas Day), which is a regular holiday throughout the country;
WHEREAS, the declaration of 24 December 2012 as a special (non-working) day will give the people full opportunity to celebrate Christmas with their family and loved ones;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, 24 December 2012, as a special (non-working) day throughout the country.
The Department of Labor and Employment is hereby directed to issue appropriate circular to implement this Proclamation for the private sector.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines.
Done in the City of Manila, this 29th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twelve.
