Partly cloudy skies, isolated rains Saturday due to ‘habagat’

MANILA – The whole country will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the effects of the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” the weather bureau said Saturday.

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Southern Luzon and the Visayas will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the “habagat” or localized thunderstorms.

Light to moderate wind conditions with slight to moderate seas will be experienced across the country, PAGASA said.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 26°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 18°C to 24°C; Laoag City, 26°C to 31°C; Legazpi City, 25°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 31°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 31°C; and Metro Davao, 26°C to 32°C. (PNA)
