President Benigno S. Aquino III, during the second leg of his four-day visit to Indonesia and Singapore, met with key Singaporean business leaders to present and discuss public-private partnership (PPP) investment opportunities in the Philippines.
The President was joined by Secretary of Finance Cesar V. Purisima, Secretary of Trade and Industry Gregory L. Domingo, Secretary of Energy Rene D. Almendras, the business delegation from the Philippines and representatives from the Philippine-Singapore Business Council.
Singapore taipans from companies such as Temasek Holdings, Parkway Holdings, Keppel Corporation, SingTel Group, CapitaLand and Fraser & Neave Limited were present in the roundtable meeting at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore.
They expressed interest in real estate, small and medium enterprises and sustainable energy initiatives such as wind and biomass in the Philippines.
